iFetch a Family

iFetch a Family

iFetch A Family connects shelters and long-stay dogs with iFetch toys to encourage play and speed up adoptions. Research shows that dogs are more likely to be adopted if they are perceived as “playful.”  So we got to thinking, “What if we donated an iFetch Too to interested shelters with long-stay dogs?” And what if we recruited rock star trainers to visit the shelters and train the dogs to use the iFetch (while also helping with some of the other less-than-desirable behaviors)? And what if we helped the shelters fetch these pups-in-need a loving family through advertising and other means? Sounds good, right? That’s iFetch A Family.

Why Get Involved with iFetch a Family?

It’s heart-breaking to see dogs in a shelter for months on end. The stress of living in a shelter for an extended period of time is really hard on pups who may already need some training for overactive or destructive behaviors. That’s where the enrichment of our fetching and digging toys can help. If you’re a shelter looking for help placing your long-stay pups, please get involved. iFetch A Family is here to help.

Success Stories

Mona Fetched a Family

Mona the Pitbull mix was at an Austin shelter for over a year. We donated an iFetch Too, brought in a professional trainer to help give her some structure and enrichment, and helped advertise her adoption on Facebook. And the rest is history.

The Story of Bernice

iFetch also helped Bernice, a pitbull mix with severe skin issues, find her forever home. We donated to the Wags & Walks shelter in Los Angeles, CA and also sent them an iFetch Too for their adoption center to help more long-stay dogs get adopted.
