Shelter time: 7 months
This playful girl was at Austin Animal Center for too long! We introduced her to the iFetch Too at the shelter and she dropped the ball in by herself during her first play session. So smart! She was a bit shy, and suffered from “happy tail”, which is why we think she had been overlooked. We created this video and boosted it on our Facebook page twice to potential owners in Austin. The Austin Animal Center did a great job promoting her too – and a couple of months later, she was adopted by a great family. She has brothers and sisters now! Special thanks to Lorian and the great folks at Austin Animal Center for all of their efforts with adoptions. They provide so much love and care for these dogs in need.
Shelter time: 1.5 years
This spunky, athletic girl had been at Austin Pets Alive! for over a year when we started working with her. She’s a great fetcher and loved her training sessions with the iFetch Too and our iFetch trainer, Crystal Dunn from Leaps ‘n Hounds. Crystal worked with her on her ball manners (she had an aggressive “take”) and general canine behaviors like sit, stay, and drop using the iFetch Too. Crystal and Mona formed quite a bond — so much so, that Crystal ended up fostering her for a few weeks until Mona found a new owner and dad, David. Special thanks to Liz and the folks at Austin Pets Alive! for all of their help with transportation to/from training sessions and fostering paperwork.
If you’re in Austin, please go visit (and volunteer!) at the APA! There are hundreds of dogs who need your help.
